A luxurious compound butter loaded with finely chopped toasted pecans, fresh herbs, and a touch of honey. Melt a pat over steak, corn, baked potatoes, or warm dinner rolls.

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped toasted pecans
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  1. 1

In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped pecans, chives, parsley, thyme, honey, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix with a fork or spatula until everything is evenly distributed throughout the butter.

  2. 2

Spoon the mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Roll it into a tight log about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, twisting the ends to seal.

  3. 3

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm. The compound butter can also be frozen for up to 2 months.

  4. 4

Slice into rounds and serve over grilled steak, pan-seared fish, roasted corn, baked sweet potatoes, or warm crusty bread.
