Smooth, creamy homemade pecan butter flavored with cinnamon and maple syrup that tastes just like pecan pie. Perfect as a spread on toast or with fruit.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spread pecans in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and toast for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until fragrant and slightly darkened.
Let the toasted pecans cool for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to a food processor.
Process pecans for about 5 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed, until the oils release and a paste begins to form.
Add maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract. Continue processing for another 2 to 3 minutes until the butter reaches your desired smoothness.
Pour the pecan butter into a clean jar with a sealed lid. Store at room temperature for up to 2 weeks or in the refrigerator for up to 6 weeks.
