Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the butter mixture.
Fold in toasted pecans until evenly distributed.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
