A whole wheel of brie wrapped in a brown sugar pecan crust and baked until gooey and melting. An elegant appetizer that comes together in minutes.

  • 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt
  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and cayenne. Stir until evenly mixed.

  3. 3

Place the brie on the prepared baking sheet. Mound the pecan mixture on top of the wheel, pressing gently so it adheres to the surface.

  4. 4

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the brie is soft and beginning to ooze at the edges and the pecan topping is golden and bubbly.

  5. 5

Remove from oven, sprinkle with flaky sea salt, and let rest for 3 minutes. Serve warm with crackers, sliced baguette, or apple slices.
