Adorable bite-sized pecan tarts with a buttery cream cheese crust and sweet pecan filling. Perfect for holiday parties and potlucks.
Beat softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Mix in flour to form a dough. Wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Divide dough into 24 balls and press each into a mini muffin tin to form small cups.
In a bowl, whisk together egg, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt.
Divide chopped pecans among the pastry cups, then spoon the filling over the pecans.
Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until the filling is set and the pastry is golden.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then carefully remove tarts to a wire rack.
